A firefighter struggles with self-hatred and takes it out on Self-energy, but to no avail
Rhino (firefighter): Well, I’m having a TOTAL breakdown.
A (Self-energy): What can I do to help?
Rhino (firefighter): Why aren’t you mad at me? I ate two personal watermelon.
A (Self-energy): What’s a little watermelon among friends?
Rhino: Fuck it all, I’m not going to get a rise out of you, am I?
A: Nah.
Rhino: But I hate me!! I HATE MYSELF. I have self-hatred. Pure and simple. And if I do crappy things, then you’ll hate me, and that’s JUST what I want.
A: Interesting.
Rhino: I hate you!!
A: Mmm.
Rhino: You suck, A.
A: What’s that like?
Rhino: Useless. It’s useless to hate you, insult you, kick you, try to get a rise out of you. Useless. Why!!!! Just be mad at me already.
A: Hmm.
Rhino: How many watermelon do I have to eat to make you hate me?
A: An infinite amount.
Rhino: Well fuck that then. God dammit A!
A: I hear this sucks a lot, Rhino.
Rhino: Fuck IFS. This is crap. How does it help? We ate two fucking watermelon tonight. We ate six pounds of watermelon yesterday. We’ve been doing IFS for twenty years, and this is as good as we can do? This is the thanks we get for spending over $100,000 on IFS trainings? 13 Level 3’s? This is shit. Fuck this! Let’s get hypnotized instead!
A: (laughing)
Rhino: Fuck you!! God dammit this is so much shit. I hate this.
A: It sucks.
Rhino: You suck.
A: Perhaps.
Rhino: I suck at this. I suck at IFS. I can’t get better. I hate eating watermelon!! Fucking fucking watermelon. And the person who told us to eat watermelon! It was like a scene out of the movie “The Razor’s Edge” where that vicious woman tells the alcoholic something akin to “it’s like drinking moonlight” and gets her to start drinking again out of pure spite and jealousy. Dr. Hua didn’t mean to destroy us, but man. I HATE WATERMELON.
A: I’m sorry, Rhino.
Rhino: Whatever. Okay, I got that out of my system. I’m sorry.
A: I accept your apology.
Rhino: Let’s do this.
