I have never heard of IFS but the parts thing reminds me of that movie “inside out” where there’s different characters for our feelings. I’m self aware — sometimes too much haha. But I wouldn’t say I understand how to make things work smoothly. Today I woke up and said I had it with my cpap machine. I’m returning it and I’m going to lose weight instead. I’m tired of spending money on mask replacements and then the insurance keeps making me go in for check ups. It’s a great way for them to keep making money I guess. Me? I’m still tired and I hate sleeping with tubes attacked to my face. So it makes me mad. It’s just another way society keeps you stuck—you know? Reliant on doctors and meds instead of your own will. I’m just over it. I am on a journey to be more self reliant and stop giving my power away.
wow, thank you for bringing this to my attention. can't believe I have never heard of it before. how did you learn about it? and was this self-taught or did you attend a course on it? curious to learn more 🧡
Claudia!!!! I’m so delighted to bring it to your attention. I got lucky and had an IFS therapist. I asked her what we were doing and she said it didn’t matter. I said it did! She said, “Well there’s this conference…”
The rest is history! I’ve taken over 2350 hours of IFS training from the IFS Institute. I’ve been IFS certified since 2010. But most importantly, I live eat sleep and breathe IFS and I’ve done over 7,000 hours of my own personal IFS work since 2002. I’m one of the most highly trained IFS practitioners in the world today, but I may be the person alive with the absolute most hours under my belt of actual personal IFS practice.
I’m open to any questions you have! And if you want to jump on a zoom one of these days and ask more about IFS, I would love to connect!
It’s my passion to connect with people about IFS right now and I literally just talked to someone I met on Substack today and we had the funnest conversation! All because she literally liked one of my posts! She didn’t even make a comment – I just felt so validated, I had to write her back and thank her, and then Shazam! The next thing we know we’re connecting virtually in person.
Substack is such a playground for openhearted people. It’s just delightful. So I’m overjoyed to connect!
Enjoy!!! I love what my parts write, I’m their biggest fan!
Just a tip – when you read my Substack, it helps to read it from the beginning because it’s somewhat narrative, and it will make more sense if you start at the very beginning with a love letter to the green crocodile. https://radicalifs.substack.com/p/the-green-crocodile
