Wow - thank you so much as always for sharing!!

Maybe just one comment (there is a lot we could say!) - I have parts that have been very hurt by gaslighting and REALLY dislike spiritual bypassing and all the BS marketing we see of spiritual things, that deeply appreciated these words:

‘I'm not going to lie, I'm not going to sugarcoat it, I'm not going to participate in toxic positivity or sugar coating mysticism because it's not a path I recommend for everyone.‘

Thank you for your words. I have a client who just did something like this about 10 days ago and set the deadline for 1 month.

I will be sharing this post with her to help her understand why so much upheaval was happening to her when I met with her late last week.

It is my hope, seeing your words, will help build her resilience and knowledge it’s not an attack from her parts and shamanic stuff, it’s a lot of change is a very short amount of time.

Your journey is a reminder of how profound and raw real inner work can be. Committing to "be in the world but not of it" calls for tremendous courage and deep introspection, a path few willingly tread. It’s inspiring to see you navigate these turbulent “rapids” with intention. Your story speaks to the resilience that’s required to meet our own soul’s callings—especially when the familiar parts of ourselves need to dissolve. I hope the waves reveal insights that anchor you even deeper into your journey.

Lane! Thank you so much for this deeply moving response to what Sharky said. I and my parts feel profoundly received and understood. What you wrote has a sacred, somber, dropped-down quality that resonates and lets me know you really get what I’m doing here. Thank you. 🙏🏻

Thanks for sharing these personal insights.

I wasn't aware that each part could also be thought of as having a Self of its own and could lead the system. My assumption was that managers and firefighters should give up control to the Self but now I see there's value is letting them lead under certain circumstances.

I find my own psyche mostly dominated by managers, firefighters sometimes show themselves but are pushed down quickly. Maybe there's growth to be had from giving a self-led firefighter control for a while.

Glad to share the fractal nature of inner systems and that parts also have a Self.

Yeah, in a manager-dominated culture it can be a useful inquiry to see if giving our more Self-led firefighters some power will create needed balance / contribute to growth in generative new ways.

Excited to hear how the experiment unfolds!
